The Idaho BMX board is hard at work with track improvements as we wind down the 2024 outdoor season, and gear up for another exciting year of racing in the Treasure Valley. In 2025, we already have plans to host another season of Idaho Indoor racing at the Canyon County Fairgrounds (dates TBA). 2025 also marks the return of the USA BMX Gem State Nationals, Memorial Day weekend! Beyond running local races, we also have big plans for another exciting Speed Week, more themed and special events, the possibility of introducing a new rider league... and MORE.
With big dreams come the need for big improvements, and that means even bigger fundraising goals. Example expenses include:
Indoor Facility Rental for 8 weeks - $20,000
Asphalt for corners at Eagle Park BMX - $18,000+ depending on implementation
Recouping cost of Sqorz system for Caldwell (requirement for 2025 National Hosts) - $7500
Track surface and track improvements - $15,000 + equipment rentals
So, in order to raise some extra money we thought we'd bring back the Digital Dozens fundraising competition! Details below.
There are 2 ways to compete. As a Team or as an Individual. The Team and the Individual that raises the most money, wins!! It's that easy. We will tally everyone's entries after June 30th and announce winners the first week of July.
What will I win?
Each team and individual that raises the most money will win:
Individual: $50 in Bike Bucks - good for any purchase/race fee at Idaho BMX tracks at the registration shed (That's 5 local races... or 10 gate practices... or you can mix and match. Bike Bucks are like money at our tracks and you can use however you want - SPOILER ALERT, we also have new track merch coming soon...).
Team: One free private track rental! That's right. The whole track to yourselves, including gate practice.
How does it work?
It's easy! You share the flyer (or come up with your own way to spread the word!) to tell your family and friends you're competing in our fundraising competition, they buy donuts at idahobmx.com/digital-dozens and say you are who sent them, and we do the rest!
Competition ends on October 18, 2024. The team and individual who raise the most money before then... win!
Digital Vouchers will be sent out after the competition has ended to all who purchased donuts, and then your supporters can go and redeem at any Krispy Kreme location whenever they want. That also means, you can share with your friends and family even if they don't live in the Treasure Valley.
Team Captains - please reach out if you'd like a customized flyer if you don't see it listed here and you would like to participate!
